ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 5

For the start of Semester 5, We were given Medan Pasar to use as our assignment site. A Sense of Place is a tool that was provided to us along with the strategy to examine the site. Through this, I was able to comprehend the location and how it gave me a better understanding of the macro site to find the answers.

We were given the task of building a creative community centre for the city of KL that would serve as a venue for hosting and introducing a creative community as part of this final project.

 

As for my concept, I focused a lot on engagement and how to gather elements from around the urban context to bring people together to share the space. Playing with the Urban Axis, Silhouette and volume, I managed to design a space for my designated programs that is transparent to the outside world. Attracting attention and people.
